SafeNet Operating System

The SafeNet O/S is a real-time multitasking message passing Embedded Microkernel Operating System designed to meet CENELEC SIL 4 safety Integrity. Supports 2oo2 and 2oo3 operation, Easily interface with our real-time data matrix output that can be read by existing back-office computer systems. Network-wide data is immediately available from the SafeNet System controller.
The Operating System is the foundation Software in all our controller products. Once certified, it never has to change. Application programs are loaded into the integrated Function Block interpreter where the application is run in a protected environment.

What Is It?

The SafeNet O/S is designed for use on the SafeNet hardware platform which provides a complete application development environment for safety-critical railway signaling and train control. All projects, such as Crossing Controllers, Wayside Interface Units, On-board Train Control, Wireless Remote I/O systems and Yard Block Control Systems are applications that run on the identical certified platform.  A Function Block graphical programming tool allows the user to design a system by drawing block diagrams using a library of certified and pretested functions. The diagram is then compiled into an interconnection file that tells the Function Block Interpreter how the blocks are interconnected. Custom user programs are immediately SIL 4 certified. Non-Programmers can create complex programs with no knowledge of the internal O/S operation.

Build SIL 4  Railway Control Systems

SafeNet is comprised of many modules which can be added or removed for each specific application. It is a message passing O/S that sends data packets to modules regardless of where they reside in the network. Networks can be up to 255 nodes and supports 1024 I/O points per node. Systems can be composed of redundant fiber optic and dual band wireless communications in any topology required. Wireless communications available in 902 MHz, 2.4 GHz FHSS, WiFi, GSM cellular or Digital Mesh. Redundant wireless supported on all modules for reliable communication links.
